Wedding Photo Booth with A Twist
I love this new app, Vello, which lets its users collaborate on videos together. Having everyone in your wedding party with a smartphone download the app and then share their own snippets, which will then be connected into one longer video, can be a great alternative to a photobooth.
"Rather than being confined to a booth, guests can record themselves raising a glass, dancing the night away or sharing some advice with the newlyweds – special, fun and hilarious moments that the couple may miss out on given the hectic nature of the day. The app stitches each guest’s clip together into one personal wedding video," Kristina, a representative for Vello told The Handmade Wedding.
If nothing else, it sounds like this could be a great way to compile moments from your big night!

Gorgeous!
| How gorgeous is this reception/ceremony decor idea?! Simply gather up some old bottles, get some rope, and include some fresh flowers, and you've got a super pretty combination! This is a great idea for both an outdoor or indoor wedding! Just make sure the bottles are extra secure. | Source: lucid-dreaminggg.tumblr.com via Sandra/ The Handmade Wedding on Pinterest |

Your Pup at Your Wedding
| Do you have a pup in your life you're going to want to be present at your wedding? I think if Joe and I had a dog, we would have wanted him or her to be right there with us on our big day. If you feel like this, but you've thrown the option of getting a doggie tux or bow-tie out the window, this may be the option for you. I really loved this idea; he or she, well, kind of beautiful instead of just plain silly in a full-body doggie costume. What do you think? | ![]() (photo credit: Dog at a Wedding) |

Real Weddings: Detzaira + Nathan
One of my friends from high school got married a couple weeks ago in Half Moon Bay. The threatening clouds looming over the coast dissipated by the time we reached the ranch venue where the wedding was taking place. I was stoked that the day turned out to be filled with sunshine and warmth; it was a perfect day for a Mexican-themed country wedding.
It was a beautiful set up and I knew that I would have plenty to share with you all! The following are some of the photographs that Joe and I took throughout the day. I loved all the fun little details from the colorful and white paper banners to the marshmallow station to the delectable cuisine. The food was phenomenal! They served authentic Mexican tacos in small corn tortillas that were just delicious. It was definitely a wedding that added a Mexican twist to a farm/ranch style event, and there are lots of handmade ideas to take in. I also loved their wildflower bouquets and wedding table arrangement. Oh, and their chairs were awesome!
p.s. A big congrats to Detzaira and Nathan!

Real Weddings: Stacey + Alex
To Stacey and Alex, thank you for sharing your big day with my readers. I wish you a vast amount of congratulations as well as an eternity of happiness together!
From me: What makes this weeding so wonderful to me is just the overall vibe; there are so many details that are so awesome individually from the ticket stub invitations to the centerpieces with bright magenta flowers to the pies. Add a joyful pup to the mix, and put all those great details together, and you've got yourself a pretty captivating wedding. Best of all these details are easy to steal...well, lets call it borrowing so it doesn't sound so bad, from the checkers board to the wood signs used in this wedding. You can make your own of everything with a little creativity and time.
From Stacy:
The wedding took place June 9th, 2012 at Castle Finn Winery in Marshall Illinois. The Bride and Groom, Stacey and Alex, worked over a year collecting the various jars and antiques for the wedding along with making countless bunting signs and details for their big day. It was a mild, sunny June day with a touch of a breeze with the most magnficient puffy white clouds and blue sky. The guests were greeted by the couple's dog, whom was trained to carry the toss bouquet, as well as chilled water in antique buckets. The couple wanted a outdoorsy, relaxed, day filled with games, family, and friends to celebrate their nuptials. From the bunting, to the tiny cupcake flags, no detail was left untouched. Even the garter and florals were assembled by the Bride and family/friends.
Q & A with Bride and Groom Stacey and Alex:
Favorite Moment: Everything had come together perfectly and that day was amazing in every way. The most meaningful part of the day was walking down the aisle and seeing the look on Alex’s face as he saw me for the first time that day.

Favorite Detail: The Dresses! Mine and the bridesmaids
Advice for planning brides: Remember what they day is all about. You are getting married to the love of your life and about to celebrate with all your friends and family. Just breathe and don’t sweat the small stuff.
